ICEBEAR offers ETL-certified monoblock refrigeration models. For a US or Canadian project, buyers should match the quoted model to its certification documentation, including the applicable standards, electrical configuration and country coverage.

Changzhou Ice Bear Heating and Cooling Co., Ltd. supplies monoblock refrigeration units, split refrigeration units and cold-room components. This page focuses on monoblock certification; certification for another product family must be checked separately.

Certification applies within the documented scope. A similar name, a different voltage or a modified configuration should not be assumed to have the same coverage.

UL and CSA standards referenced

The monoblock certification records reference:

  • UL 60335-1
  • UL 60335-2-89
  • CSA C22.2 No. 60335-1
  • CSA C22.2 No. 60335-2-89

Consult the underlying certification documentation for the applicable editions, amendments and scope.

ETL is Intertek’s certification mark. UL and CSA also publish standards used for product evaluation. An ETL-listed product can be assessed to applicable UL and CSA standards without carrying separate UL and CSA certification marks. See Intertek’s explanation of ETL certification.

How to verify an ICEBEAR model

  1. Open the official Intertek directory search for ICEBEAR.
  2. Select the relevant manufacturer and monoblock product record.
  3. Compare the complete model designation with the quotation and nameplate.
  4. Check the listed standards and US or Canadian coverage.

This link opens search results, rather than a certificate PDF. If the record cannot be accessed or a detail does not match, request the corresponding documentation from ICEBEAR before completing the purchase review.

Does the listing cover Canadian projects?

Canadian suitability must be confirmed for the selected model using its Canadian certification scope and authorized marking. A reference to North America, or the presence of a US listing alone, is not enough to establish Canadian coverage.

Frequently asked questions

Does ETL mean the unit is also UL Listed?

No. ETL and UL are different certification marks. An ETL listing can reference a UL standard without being a UL listing.

Are all ICEBEAR products included in this monoblock report?

No. This reference concerns the models and configurations within its documented scope. Split units, panels and doors require their own supporting documentation.

Does an electrical safety listing establish every requirement for installation?

No. Refrigerant rules, applicable energy requirements and site installation conditions must also be reviewed.

What should I send for a certification check?

Send the proposed model, voltage, phase, frequency and destination country. For an existing unit, include a clear nameplate photograph.
